Pinterest adds new AR ‘try-on’ feature for lipstick shades. Pinterest is launching a new, augmented reality ‘try on’ feature which will enable users to get an idea of what certain lipstick shades might look like on their lips.
As you try new lip shades, you can also snap a pic of your try and save it as a Pin to come back and shop later.
This latest feature is to help Pinners explore their style and shop on Pinterest
It’s an interesting option, one that’ll no doubt prove popular, and will help Pinterest improve its use case as a product discovery engine. This is currently only available in America for beta testing.
This is definitely paving the paths for future AR uses in our day to day apps.
